People look to counseling or psychotherapy (I use the two words interchangeably) for a variety of reasons, some of which I could never have predicted. Below is a list of categories I have been able to help people with. Please don’t consider it exclusive. I will also list below some issues I’ve found I’m not well-versed enough in to be of good help and therefore would recommend you find another counselor for those issues.

You May Prefer Finding a Specialist for the Following Issues Addictions in General Adoption Issues Anger Management Classes, Domestic Violence Classes Chronic Illness or Pain Gender Identity Issues Dissociative Disorders Eating Disorders Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Panic Attacks, Phobias Schizophrenia or other Psychosis Disorders
Note: Occasionally a person has chosen to work with Beth because of her general approach, and Beth has either been able to meet the needs of the client by doing research and obtain peer supervision or has jointly decided with the client that they should work with someone more knowledgeable, in which case Beth can help with referrals.
